He founded Rise Acupuncture & Wellness to facilitate a practice of holistic healthcare that focuses on providing culturally informed, evidence based, and compassionate care to his patients. Mariko collaborates with patients to address a variety of chronic and acute health issues by using acupuncture, nutritional counseling and lifestyle modifications. Deeply influenced by his 14-year practice of martial arts, meditation, and Qigong, Mariko blends classical acupuncture theory with modern sports acupuncture to treat pain, injuries and general systemic disorders. Mariko specializes in the use of myofascial trigger point needling (dry needling) and orthopedic acupuncture. Mariko will work with you to create balance within the meridian and musculoskeletal systems in order to generate healing and build internal resilience.
